The engine 04 steps
This is the whole production line. A number goes in, the locked pixel system composes an identity out of it, the weights say how rare that identity is, and a term turns it into a bond. Nothing is fetched and nothing is generated: the same number gives the same Zomi on any machine that opens this page.
Seed and colour
1 to 10,000The id is the seed. There is no other input.
Colour is three separate draws, not one set: a ground tone from ten, a shell plating from twelve, an accent family from ten. They fill eight slots that the templates name by role rather than by value: ground, ground alternate, shell, shell shade, shell light, visor, eye glow, accent trim. The engine throws a plating away and draws again whenever its relative luminance sits closer than 0.35 to the ground it would stand on, so nothing in the issue comes out dark on dark.
Compose
seven layers, fixed orderEach layer is a string grid drawn by hand and painted in order. A later layer only covers the cells it actually draws, so the ground shows through everywhere the shell is not, and the eyes land on the visor plate every shell leaves open at the same place.
Watch the run above: the canvas is 26 by 26 device pixels scaled up with smoothing off, so what you see is the grid itself and not a picture of it. Tone and plating are colour draws and paint nothing, which is why two of the seven steps move no pixels. The last step adds the surface: a rim of light on the top left of the shell, a shadow on the bottom right, a few cells of grain, and on one Zomi in five a handful of rows pushed sideways with a torn accent edge.
Traits and rarity

Rarity is scored on the counts, not on the weights. An exclusion moves a trait away from the share its weight alone would give it, so scoring the declared number would describe a collection that does not exist. The counts come out of composing all 10,000 once, in the traits view.
Mint
term is chosen onceTerm
Minting opens when ZomiBond is deployed and its address is written into the site configuration. Until then this button stays off rather than failing in your wallet.
What the term does: it sets the weight the Zomi carries for ever, and the date before which nothing can be claimed. It is written into the token at mint and the contract has no function that changes it.
What comes out either way is a standard ERC-721 record. You can take it now, without minting anything, as a zip: the art at 26 by 26 and at 1040 by 1040, the metadata, and a manifest naming the exact engine that produced them.
